While married to her first husband, she had a daughter, Renee. Renee passed away in her younger years, leaving a daughter and son.

Edna worked 30+ years and retired from the City of Fort Pierce as a Staff Accountant. She started out as a clerk and worked her way up over the years. She was a lifelong member of Southside Christian Church.

When Edna moved to Florida later in life, she met and married George "Smokey" Fisher while they were both volunteers at Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce. There was no issue (children) from this marriage. Edna and Smokey owned several residential rental properties in Fort Pierce that they also managed. They kept themselves busy during their "golden" years.

She was a charter member of the Fort Pierce Garden Club and very involved in the Democratic Women's Club of St. Lucie County for years.

She served in the office of Chaplain for 30+ years at Ruth Chapter No. 7 Order of the Eastern Star, an affiliated branch of the Free & Accepted Masons of the Fort Pierce Masonic Lodge.
