Alice Yates Herrington of Livingston, LA born April 13, 1951, passed away at Ochsner Medical Center a 9:30 am Saturday August 15, 2020 at age 69. Alice graduated from Monticello High School. She was a farmer's wife for 17 years and could operate a tractor better than most men. She had the biggest heart an spent most of her life making sure others were taken care of.
She is survived by husband of 50 years, Daniel Herrington, the love of her life since 8th grade. Two children, Felicia Herrington Mitchell and Joe Herrington along with son-in law Wayne Mitchell. Sh had four grandchildren who called her "Meme", Paige Mitchell Higginbotham (Dean), Austin Joseph Herrington, Paiton Grace Mitchell, Justis Jade Herrington and one great granddaughter, Blaire Renea Higginbotham who brough so much joy to her life ove the last year.
Also Demi Henderson Bush and Joseph Henderson who she loved like her own grandchildren along with their mother Stephanie McMahon.
She is also survived by her five siblings Bobby Gene Yates Jr, Rufus (Connie) Yates, Beverly Yates Biggs, Phyllis Yates Pruitt and Tony (Tina) Yates. Sister-in law Katie Herrington and lena Dear and brother-in-law Bobby Jo Herrington, many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Bobby Gene Yates, Sr. and Lorraine Yates of Monticello and her brother Ricky Yates.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 18th 2020 at 5:00 PM at the Seale Funeral Home (1720 S. Range Ave, Denham Springs, LA 70726). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 18th 2020 at 7:00 PM at the Seale Funeral Home.
