Kelly Jean Valentine Adkins passed away in her home peacefully August 14, 2020. Kelly was a graduate of Beckley College, with an Associate's Degree in Business Science. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister and grandmother. A few of her favorite things were the sounds and smells of the beach and camping at the river with her family. Kelly loved her husband, Butch. They both were lucky to be soulmates.

She was born on December 15, 1968 in Beckley, WV to a loving mother, Leva J. Valentine. Kelly was preceded in death by her father; and mother-in-law, Mary Adkins (Deceased).

Those who survive to cherish her memory include her mother, Leva J. Valentine of Concord, NC; husband, Walter W. Adkins of Mt. Hope, WV; children, Olivia Epley of Mt. Hope, WV, Adam Epley of Charlotte, NC; stepchildren Brent Adkins of Malta, OH, Brittany Adkins-Yancy & husband Quincy Yancy of Beckley, WV, and Jacob Adkins of Beckley, WV; grandchildren ,Jayce, Abel, Jaxon, Brooklyn, Natalya, and Teona; sisters, Paige Valentine-Ballas & husband Dennis Ballas of Concord, NC, Valerie Valentine-Browning of Harrisonburg, VA; brother, Shawn Harpel & wife Abbie Harpel of Fairdale, WV; brother-in-law Sam Adkins & wife Crystal Adkins of Prosperity, WV; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many cousins.

A memorial service will be held to Celebrate the Life of Kelly Jean Adkins on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 4:00 PM in the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley, WV with Bishop Fred T. Simms officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Facial coverings and social distancing will be observed as mandated by the Governor of the State of WV.
