Born May 11, 1944 in Naoma WV, son of the late James F. Workman and Mary M. Workman. He was retired from the U.S. Post Office, U.S. Army, and the Masonics. Class of 1963 John I. Burton High School in Norton VA. He married Mary Lee Jones on September 14, 1966 in Wise VA. He loved the outdoors and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, James F. Workman Jr., Eugene R. Workman, Leroy Workman, Charles W. Workman, and Joe Eddie Workman; four sisters, Agnes W. Workman, Janet F. Trinkle, Carolyn D. Bowman, and Lucille A. Pettry.
He is survived by his daughter, Cheri M. Workman; son, Russell D. Workman and grandson, Michael D. Workman; one brother, Carmel G. Workman; also, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A private family service was held.
Miss you both. A little too much, a little too often, and a little bit more every day. I will hold y'all in my heart until I can hold you both again in Heaven. Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in Heaven where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy.
