Earl Clarence King was born of John and Jennie King in Sioux Rapids, Iowa, November 5, 1881 and departed this life at his home January 28, 1943, aged 61 years, 2 months and 28 days. He came to Newell in December, 1901 where he has lived ever since. He was united in marriage to Grace M. Gordon on November 12, 1907. To this union three children were born, Constance Elizabeth, Phyllis Emily and Eunice Lenore. He was associated in business with C. A. Collins for forty-two years and was the Plymouth and Chrysler dealer here for twenty-eight years. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, three daughters Constance Holst of Larabee, Phyllis Rystad of Berkeley, Calif., and Eunice Knutson of Sabinal, Texas, one grandchild, Kristin Knutson, two brothers, Otis of Denver, Colo., and Ray of Los Angeles, California and a host of friends.
