Yvonne Brown Passed away peacefully at the age of 79 after a 6 year struggle with cancer. She migrated from Kingston, Jamaica at the age of 32.
Yvonne was the loving daughter of the late Donovan T. Brown and Madlin Mullett. Dear mother of Devon (Debora) Francis, Donovan Francis, Andrea Francis and Phillip (Sharon) Hendricks. Loving Grandmother to Jermaine, Kalah, Clarence, David, Devon (DJ), Andrea (Annika), Kenisha, Serai, Malachi, Teshauna and great grandmother to Kenneth. Sister to Beverly Brown-Symister, Evena "Shirley" Dublin, Cheryl Brown, Junior Dublin, Delroy T. Brown, Norman Brown and the late Marcia, Hope, Maggie and Courtney Brown. Aunt to many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She dedicated her life to all her 4 children, 10 grand children and 1 great grandson. Yvonne attended Tri-C School in Education to keep her mind fresh. She continued on and worked at Cleveland State University for over 20 years. She enjoyed Cruising, swimming, exercising and watching food and cooking network shows. Yvonne had a very strong Catholic Faith, strong belief in God and love for others that never failed her from attending church regularly. Many will remember her distributing prayer cards and Rosary's and prayed for those she met.
The honor extended to Pallbearers will be Phillip Hendricks (son), Felix O. Lopez (son in -law), Devon Francis Jr. (grandson), Clarence Semple (grandson), David Darrington (grandson), Jermaine Scott (grandson), Vinnie Pizzuli (friend) and Lawrence Hudson (friend).
