GLENN EUGENE HARRIS, 65, of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away Friday, August 14, 2020 at his residence, surrounded by his family.

Visitation and a time of sharing memories will be held on Saturday, August 22nd from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Boothby Funeral Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Burial will follow the visitation at the Oak Hill Cemetery with military rites by L.A. Wescott Post #2253 of the V.F.W. and the Cherokee American Legion. Glenn was born on May 7, 1955 at Kansas City, Missouri to George and Russie (Dodson) Harris. He graduated from Shawnee Mission High School in 1974. He was married to Donna Leeds on December 28, 1974 at Kansas City, Missouri. He was a veteran serving in the United States Navy for several years. Following his discharge he was a computer technician for SBA Loans, retiring in 2010. Glenn had been a resident of Cherokee, Iowa the past 10 years and prior to this had lived in Waterloo, Nebraska for several years. He and his wife Donna were affiliated with the Summit View Nazarene Church in Kansas City, Mo.

Glenn was a member of L.A. Wescott Post #2253 of the V.F.W., Cherokee American Legion, and was a member of the Submarine Vets.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and a son Jason Harris.

He is survived by his wife Donna of Cherokee, Iowa; three children: Allison Harris of Cherokee, Iowa; Kevin Harris and Charlie Harrris of Eight Mile, Alabama; several grandchildren; his siblings: Delwin Harris of Kansas; Eldon Harris of Kansas; Genevela of Ottawa, Kansas; Tara (Alden) Fish of Ottawa, Kansas; also several nieces and nephews.
