Peggy Jean Hargrove Mason died Friday, August 14, 2020 at Tri-Star Skyline Medical Center.

Born in Dickson, Peggy was the daughter of the late Noah Lee and Macel Dunn Hargrove. She was married to James Howard “Jim” Mason at an early age and traveled extensively with him in his 20+ year military career. Settling back in Dickson, Peggy worked for the school system for a while before embarking on a career of more than 32 years with the City of Dickson as City Recorder.

First and foremost, she loved her family. The other “loves” of her life were playing bridge and her Bridge Club and her many friends and acquaintances she made over the years through her work for the City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughters, Ronda Ann Mason and Rosemary Mason Heath; and by her sisters, “Sissy” Walp, Thelma “Pete” Moon, and Dimple Dean.

Survivors include her son, Skip Mason (Sandra), Nashville; five grandchildren, Brandon Heath (Jennifer), Greeneville, TN, Kelli Heath of Dickson, Justin Mason (Katie) of Nashville, Lendy Wilson (John) of Lafayette, LA, and Brant Mason of Nashville; great-grandchildren, James Wilson, Grant Hay, Stephen Hay, and Andrew Hay; her brother, J. B. “Buddy” Hargrove (Priscilla) of Dickson; several nieces and nephews.
