She was a longtime devoted member of First Baptist Church of Girdletree. Millie worked for a shirt factory in Snow Hill for many years before working in food service for the Worcester County Board of Education, until retiring in 2017. She enjoyed playing cards, mind games, and had a passion for her birds. Her greatest love though was spending time with her grandson and his wife, and her great grandchildren.
Millie is survived by a son, Michael Lee Jones (Debbie) of Salisbury; a grandchild, Brian Jones (Chelsey) of Salisbury; two great grandchildren, Brantley Jones and Lucy Jones; a sister, Goldie Selby of Girdletree; a daughter in law, Beverly Jones of Salisbury; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Millie was preceded in death by her husband in 1995, Earl Thomas Jones, Sr; a son, Earl Thomas Jones, Jr; and nine siblings.
The family will conduct private graveside services at Spring Hill Cemetery in Girdletree.
