NEW CASTLE--Millicent Inez Moore, 104, died Saturday at home after a short illness.
Mrs. Moore was born in Barbados, West Indies, and moved to Toronto, Canada, in 1922. In 1949 she moved to New York City and moved to New Castle in 1985. She was a master seamstress and a member of St. James Episcopal Church and Henry County Senior Center.
Survivors include two daughters, Thelma M. Moore and Beryl D. Poindexter; three granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Arthur C. Moore, died in 1985. A son, two sisters and a brother are also deceased.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. James Episcopal Church. Burial will be in South Mound Cemetery. Calling will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service.
