John Bill Foreman, 73, of Tow, Texas passed away February 18, 2020. He was born to George and Maria (Archuletta) Foreman on December 23, 1946 in Guymon, Oklahoma.

John’s family moved from Guymon, Oklahoma to Covina, California when he was very young. He was raised in Covina and graduated from Northview High School. Shortly after graduation he married his high school sweetheart, Rebecca Diaz. John worked for his father’s company, Irwindale Repair and Welding, in Irwindale, California until the family relocated to Tow, Texas in 1980. The move to Tow brought the opportunity for John to start his own business, Foreman Construction. John built houses, metal buildings, and did some remodeling until his “retirement” when he took up taxidermy, which he did for a few years before returning to construction.

John was a true renaissance man and an avid hunter and fisherman. If a project came along that he was not familiar with he would read and study the topic and the result would be perfect. He was a gifted metal worker and blacksmith. He crafted many ornate sculptures, bedframes, wine racks and special gifts for his family members that will be cherished for generations. John loved his family and had a special place in his heart for his grandsons. He taught them many skills and life lessons that will keep his legacy alive for years to come. His quick wit and warped sense of humor will be missed by his family and the countless lives he touched through his life.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty five years, Rebecca Foreman of Tow, Texas; daughters, Maureen Riggs and husband Curtis Johnson of Tow, Texas, and Tirzah Richards and husband Troy of Tow, Texas; grandsons, Zachary Riggs and wife Monica of Llano, Texas, Bryce Riggs and partner Nick Rivera of Austin, Texas, and Michael Storbeck of Dallas, Texas, son in law, Richard Riggs, and numerous nieces, nephews extended family and friends also survive.

John is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Georgia Meredith.
