APPLE CREEK - Richard A. Craft Sr., 68, of Apple Creek, passed away August 13, 2020 at Autumnwood Nursing & Rehab Center, in Rittman.

Richard was born October 12, 1951 in Wooster, Ohio to Charles Sr. and Margaret {Huffman} Craft. Richard served in the US Army during Vietnam. He received a Bronze star. He married Hazel Beverley Kaye Edwards on April 3, 1971. She passed away December 3, 2017.

Richard owned Crafts Locksmithing for 42 years. He also worked for Euclid Spiral in Apple Creek. Richard volunteered his time with the Salvation Army. He was a Boy Scout Leader of the Apple Creek Pack, worked for 2 years with the Special Olympics, and volunteered as Santa’s Helper with A.C.D.C. and was a member of the Jaycees.

Richard will be deeply missed by his; children Susan Craft of Apple Creek, Richard (Larissa) Craft Jr. of Dalton, and Beverley (Kevin) Hopkins of Apple Creek; 6 grandchildren; brothers Charles (Marian) Craft Jr., Jim Craft, Allen Cornelius; sisters Sue (Roger) Kelley, Millie (Paul) Tufford

Richard was preceded in death by his wife and both parents.

Memorial services will be at a later date. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, where military rites will be held.
