Margaret Virginia West Willis, 90, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at the Mapleshire Rehabilitation in Morgantown, WV. She was born March 3, 1930 in Fairmont, WV a daughter of the late Allison Howard and Irene Edith Wagner West. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, James Edward Willis, on April 15, 2020.

Mrs. Willis was a member Meadowdale United Methodist Church, H&H Chapel where she was a member of the United Methodist Women, and the Willing Workers which was formerly the New Building Fund Workers. She taught Sunday School for many years and served as the financial secretary for many years. Margaret was a 1948 graduate of East Fairmont High School and worked with Westinghouse Corporation in Fairmont where she worked in the glass plant division. Margaret was honored to be the last surviving member of her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda S. and her husband Duane Wilson of Fairmont, and Beverly Ann and her husband Mark Ellis of Fairmont, grandchildren, Brittany “B.B.” Ann and her husband Michael Boros of Fairmont, Andrea N. and her husband Shannon Helton of Fairmont, and Mark F. Ellis II of Fairmont. She is also survived by her great granddaughter, Blakley Ann Boros and great grandson Gage Michael James Boros due in December of 2020, as well as her sister-in-law, Martha West of Chestertown, MD and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Howard Allison West, John Clark West, and Marshall Lee West, as well as her sisters, Lucille Laura Simmons, Anna Mae Miller, Phyllis Jean Holly, and Shirley Melrose Christian,

The family has entrusted care and arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV. Our dear mother and grandmother deserves a beautiful tribute. However, we appreciate in the unknown time with the COVID-19 pandemic that attending a visitation may not be in your best interest. Please be with us in prayer. Should you be able to celebrate her life, friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday, August 16, 2020 from 6PM until 8PM and on Monday, August 17, 2020 from 10AM until 11AM. The funeral will be held in the funeral home on Monday, August 17, 2020 at 11AM with Randy Vincent officiating. The interment will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Fairmont.
