Everett Lee Green, 83, of Hoxie, AR, had his faith become sight on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at the Phil and Flo Hospice House in Jonesboro.

Everett was born on September 22, 1936 at fourway inn and came out of the “old house”. He spent his life growing rice, beans, and a wonderful family. Everett had two hobbies, wheeling and dealing and his family. Everything’s for sale. He never met a stranger. Everett taught his children how to love unconditionally and that family comes first. His family began on April 15, 1959 when he married the love of his life, Generia Nichols.

Everett was almost fearless. He was only afraid of drowning and flying. He did neither. He died well with no fear because of his unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. Everett was a member of First Baptist Church Hoxie. His fear of drowning made his baptism interesting.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter Tracy (Ed) Lawson of Walnut Ridge and one son Thomy (Kris) Green of Malvern. He also was the proud grandparent to Chris, Derek (Jade), and Madison Lawson, as well as, Ellie, Amelia, Ben, and Caroline Green. He was also the proud great-grandparent to Tinsley and Kip Lawson. Also, one sister Nellie Morley and a passel of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, Tim Green, his parents Dutch and Annie Green, one sister Dorothy Warren, four brothers, R.L., James, Leroy, and Raymond Green.

A special thanks goes to his aids, Krys and Sally. The family also wants to thank the staff of Elite Hospice of Jonesboro for the care they provided for the past three and a half years.

Graveside services will be Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 11 a.m. in Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge. Harold McMickle will officiate. All arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
