In loving memory of Francis William Burgess of Woodhead, Cairnty, who died 12th December 1943, aged 79 years. And his wife May Dufton Gartly who died 16th May 1929, aged 64 years. Also their son Corporal James Burgess, Seaforth Highlanders, who died of wounds 29th March 1918, aged 20 years. Interred in Doullens Cemetery, France, also their Grandson Flight Officer Francis George Burgess, R.A.F., who lost his life in , Western Mediterranean, 4th September 1944, aged 22 years. Their Granddaughter Mary Burgess who died at Grantown 14th March 2008 aged 82 years also her parents Jessie Grant who died 3rd November 1978 aged 88 years beloved wife of Francis Burgess who died 3rd December 1975 aged 82 years. And his brother William Burgess, Woodhead of Cairnty who died 5th January 1994 aged 92 years beloved husband of Margaret Isabella Gordon who died 1st February 1989 aged 84 years.
