When the South Union Shaker Village was closed in 1922, Alice Bass was one of the eight (8) members still there. They could move to another Shaker Society in the North East or receive $10,000.00 and return to the world. Elder Logan Johns joined the mother Society at New Lebanon. Two (2) members moved to Louisville, Ky. and five (5) moved to Auburn including Alice Bass & Mary Wann. . Ms. Wann later moved to Florida to live with friends, but roomed with Alive Bass for a time in Auburn.

Although this grave site "appears" to be unmarked, but based on the Obituary, it is believed to be her resting place. The Logan County, KY. Cemetery book does not list Alice in any Logan County Cemetery.
