Left Fort Dix, New Jersey aboard the ship, Uruquay". Arrived in England on August 18, 1942. Stationed in High Wycombe, England.
September 1, 1944 - Promoted to Lt. Col.

Killed February 23, 1945 in USA on an American Airlines, Flight #9 crash near Rural Retreat, Virginia. Cause of crash was determined to be due to pilot and company error. 13 Servicemen were killed in the crash.

Posthumous Bronze Star Award.
