Mr. John was born to the late John E. Sr. and Martha Deal. John obtained a Bachelors’ Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Mississippi. He spent a total of 14 years in the Air Force gaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. John also had a total of 30 years in the Police Force before he retired.
His family remembers him as a big hearted, stubborn, loving father and grandfather. He truly loved his family, supporting and uplifting them along life’s journey. He was always making them laugh with his jokes. He was also known to embarrass them whenever they were out in public together. His children describe him as being the best father there was, never wanting for anything. Brianna, his daughter, describe her dad as being her biggest supporter and fan at her softball games, cheering her on.
John was also very humble man, as he would do anything for anybody. He was always looking out for others, guiding and helping them along their way.
John is survived by his four children, Ryan (Cindy) Deal of Abbeville, Michael (Sarah) Deal of Louisville, MS, Brianna Burcks of Abbeville, and Gary Deal; his two brothers, Tony Deal of Oxford and Bryan Deal of New Albany, MS; his six grandchildren, Paige Crockett, Victoria Deal, Garrett Deal, John Thomas Deal, Daniel Deal, and Kirsten Deal; and his two great-grandchildren, Ava Deal and Carson Crockett.
