Pay your respects and sign the register will be held 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC which is serving the Butler, Brewer and extended families.
Born Sunday, February 4,1951 in Monroe, NC, he was a son of the late Benjamin Franklin "Frank" Butler, Sr. and Sarah Brewer Butler. Dennis was a Chef who was known throughout Monroe and the surrounding area for his mindblowing Southern Cuisine. He was known for hosting holiday gatherings at his home with a spread of tasty cuisine for friends and relatives. His cooking was an outward expression of his huge heart. He loved opening his door, spending time outside listening to nature while visiting with friends and neighbors. He truly lived a life of simple pleasures; horticulture, chatting with friends who will miss him tremendouslly. He truly blessed the lives of many in his lifetime.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Franklin "Frank" Butler, Sr. and Sarah Brewer Butler; sisters, Joyce and Sarah; brothers, Floyd, Nesbitt and Frank, Jr.; nephew Curtis and niece, Miranda.
Those left to cherish his memories are one sister; Mrs Diane Thomas (John) of Charlotte, NC; five nieces, Phlaytha, Willette, Sharee, Samantha, Rochell; eight nephews, Edward, Dezzy, Elijah, Alvin, Cedric. Kawana, Cordero, Ryan and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
