Services Today For Arlie M. Stamper.

Funeral services for Arlie McKinley Stamper, 57, of Star Route, Ava, will be held at 2 PM today (Thursday) at Clinkingbeard Chapel with the Reverand Tom Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery.

A lifelong resident of rural Ava, Mr. Stamper died at 9:30 PM, April 16, at his home following a long illness.

He was a retired truck driver and a member and deacon of Walnut Grove General Baptist Church.

Born February 11, 1927, at Ava. He was the son of Orville McKinley and Carrie Wheeler Stamper. He married Ora Jenkins, who survives.

Also surviving are his mother, Carrie, of Kansas City; four sons, Howard McKinley, Kansas City, Kansas, Gordon Wayne, Ozark, Kenneth Lee, Kansas City, Kansas, and Randall Ray, Ava; two daughters, Mrs. Denia Arlene Wood, Ava, and Miss Jessie Lynn Stamper, of the home; three brothers, Laymon Stamper, Pleasant Valley, Missouri, Jim Stamper, Kansas City, and Ralph Stamper, Shell Knob; four sisters, Mrs. Lotus Hart, Mrs. Shirley Cornelius, and Mrs. Audine Olson, all of Kansas City, and Mrs. Margaret Matney, Riverside, California; and eleven grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Mrs. Merdith Stamper. Two brothers preceded him in death.
