Ronald Edward Butler, 63, husband of Michelle (Perdue) Butler, of Moneta, died Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Lynchburg General. He was born December 11, 1956 in Aberdeen, Maryland, a son of Margaret (Floyd) Butler and the late William Edward Butler.

Mr. Butler retired as supervisor at Trinity Packaging. Ronald was a member of Angler’s Choice and Bass Pro. He enjoyed competitive fishing tournaments.

In addition to his wife and mother, family members include a son, Ronald Eric Butler; two step-sons, Jeffrey Hatcher and Dallas Hatcher; a sister and brother-in-law, Cheri and Jeff Eckard; four grandchildren, Sabian, Blake, Nova, and Lotus; two aunts, Joyce and Doug Eubank and Nell Crist; and three nephews, Justin Eckard, Jeremiah Eckard, and Bill Caywood.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Glenda Rankin.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2020 in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens by Pastor Bobby Campbell. Memorials may be made to Smith Mountain Lake Animal Hospital, 15029 Moneta Road, Moneta, VA 24121. Henry Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
