Elizabeth Jane Brooks , Westminster
Elizabeth Jane Brooks, 77, of Westminster, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2003, at the Carroll County General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Carl Everett Brooks. Bom Aug. 9, 1926, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Albertus G. and Helen McKaig Buckingham. She was a member of Deer Park United Methodist Church, Smallwood. She retired from Coca-Cola. Surviving are two sons, Thomas G. and John C. Brooks, both of Westminster; a sister, Helen Virginia of Baltimore County; a brother, Kenneth L. Buckingham of Ellicott City; and three grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, the Rev. Jack G. Buckingham and Melvin G. Buckingham; and a sister, Lillian Mae Kellenbarger. Funeral services will be held 1 1 a.m. Friday at the Fletcher Funeral Home, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, with the Rev. Basil Day officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home any time this evening and from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, Ohio 44720.
