Scott was a 1987 graduate of Harnett Central High School and a Lillington native. He spent many years working for Harris Wholesale and the concluding years of his career as a salesman with Greenguard. Scott will be remembered as a loving husband, a devoted father, a cherished son, a loyal brother, beloved uncle and a friend many were lucky to know. He was known for his wonderful sense of humor and loved to keep people laughing. Scott was preceded in death by his father, Cyrus F. Stewart.
Scott is survived by his wife of 27 years, Monica Dean Stewart; daughter, Kayleigh Rene’ Stewart; his mother, Margie Dorman Stewart; brother, Mark F. Stewart; niece, Lorie Dubois and husband Joel and their children, Lillian and Marlee; all of Lillington; aunt, LaFay Pickard of Sanford; sister-in-law, Magan Hicks and husband Tim and their daughter, Kensley, all of Wilmington; and brother-in-law, Damon Dean and wife Cristy and their children, Kaden, Sawyer and Emerson, all of West End.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020, at 11 am at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Michael Sowers and Rev. Daniel Selman presiding.
