James David Sinclair was born April 28, 1961 in Des Moines, Iowa to Ole and Nora Myers Sinclair. He grew up in Des Moines graduating from Lincoln High School in 1979. He then began working at Dahl’s and was a night manager at several different locations for many years. He was married to Teresa Hyde on March 5, 1993. They moved to Chariton 25 years ago.

Jim had a great sense of humor and loved to make others laugh. He loved to entertain and feed people; “if you go home hungry, it’s your fault!” He was president of the Little League in Chariton, a golfer, a fisherman, and an outdoors griller. He liked anything sports and collected sports memorabilia. Most important were his family and grandkids.

Surviving is his wife, Teresa; his children: Brooke (Mitch) Dardis and their children: Brock and Nolan; Jesse (Ashley) Stewart and their children: Anna and Ada; Gehrig (Ashten) and children: Elodie and plus one on the way, Beau Sinclair and his daughter, Tobe; and Katie (Zach McElroy) Sinclair; along with siblings: Bobby Sinclair and Kathy (Kevin) Mincks. Preceding him in death were his parents: Ole and Nora Sinclair.
