Gladys Morris Young
Mrs. Gladys Morris Young, 83, of East McLaughlin, Madisonville, died at 9:15 a m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, 1993, in Regional Medical Center.
Born Aug. 27, 1910, in Caldwell County, she was the daughter of the late William L Morris and Eva Mae Lindsey Morris Thomas. She was a former beautician and member of the Dawson Springs Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Young Jr., in 1965, and by one son.
She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Cappi Claxton of Madisonville, Mrs. Connie K. Roth of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Betty J. Chappell of Dawson Springs; one brother, James K. Thomas of Golden, Colo. ; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a m. Saturday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home, with Rev. Roy Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Hermitage Memorial Gardens in Hermitage, Tenn.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today and after 8 a m. until the funeral hour Saturday at the funeral home.
