Phillip Karl "Hawk" Hawkins went to his heavenly home after a valiant battle with a long illness on Thursday, February 8, 2018 in Beaumont, Texas at the age of 59. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.

Phillip is survived by his beloved wife, Janetta A. Hawkins of Port Arthur, Texas; his sister Pat H. Johnson; his brother, Albert D. Hawkins; daughters, Catrena (Andre) Webb, Lakeyta (Carlan) Amond, Danielle Baker, Mary (Darryle) Guillory, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Alfred T. & Mable Hawkins and a brother, Alfred T. Hawkins Jr.

Phillip was born on June17,1958 in Port Arthur, TX. He graduated from Lincoln High School, class of ‘76. He and his wife were faithful members of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. He was a loyal affiliate of The Royalist Civil and Social Club.

The celebration of his life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 3920 W. Cardinal Dr., Beaumont, TX with viewing from 9 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
