Boring resident William “Bill” Mitchell passed away Saturday May 10, 2014. He was 64.
A funeral service will be held at the Sandy Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Bluff Road at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday May 17. Viewing will occur prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. with burial following in the afternoon.

Portland tribune. William Lindsay Mitchell returned to his Heavenly Father May 10 2014 his wife's birthday. Bill is survived by his wife, his mother Donna, brothers Mark Bob and Rick children Nolan, Gordon, Lindsay. John and Laura and 15 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Jack and sister Jeanne. Bill was born June 19,1949 in Provo, Utah and grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. Following a church mission in Uruguay he attended Utah State University where he met Lorraine the love of his life. He married her May 26 1972, earned an MBA at OSU and settled in Sandy/Boring area. Bill traveled the world as a forest consultant, but what he loved most was being at home with his family. He served constantly, wrote world-famous newsletters and had an enormous heart.
