Orville L. Schultz, 85, of Watertown, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Park Ridge in Watertown after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at 4 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. Timothy Mueller officiating. Burial will be at the Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown. Relatives and friends may gather at the church on Sunday from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to St. John's General Fund. The Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown is serving the family. Orville Louis Schultz was born on May 26, 1935 in Watertown, the son of Edward and Martha (Maas) Schultz. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Clyman. He was a 1953 graduate of Watertown High School. On May 26, 1956, he married Norma M. Schlender at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Richwood with Rev. Roy Brassow officiating. Norma preceded him in death on December 17, 2012. In his earlier years, he had worked as inventory manager at Brandt’s and farmed, as well as painted houses. He had been employed as a mail carrier by the Watertown Post Office for over 35 years. During his retirement, he worked for Hafemeister Funeral Home. Orville enjoyed gardening, camping, and playing cards. Most of all, Orville loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid Green Bay Packer and Milwaukee Brewer fan. He was meticulous and very well known in the community. Orville was a dedicated member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, serving on many committees including: Church Elder’s, Trustee’s, and Counting Committee.

Orville is survived by three sons, Tom (Diane) Schultz, Tim (Anna) Schultz and Terry (Denise) Schultz all of Watertown; ten grandchildren, Thomas "TJ" Schultz, Casey (Sarah) Schultz, Haley Schultz, Tyler Schultz, Jordon (Katie) Schultz, Micky Schultz, Hayden Schultz, Brad (Alyssa) Bruschnig, Amber (Chris) Kruesel and April Bruschnig; ten great-grandchildren, Jaydin Bruschnig, Kaycia Wilson, William Kruesel, MyKell Wilson, Raynah Wilson, Brittney Kruesel, Ryder Bruschnig, Griffin Bruschnig, Violet Bruschnig, and Leah Watson; brother, Donald Schultz of Watertown; brother-in-law, Wallace (Louise) Schlender of Watertown; sisters-in-law, Helen (Gordon) Campbell of West Allis, Judy (Alvin) Gudenkauf of Watertown, Dorothy Schroeder of Johnson Creek, Elaine Schlender of Watertown, Nancy Schlender of Juneau, and Diane Schultz of Jefferson, many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Orville was further preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ray Schultz; sisters-in-law, Delores Schultz, Gerrie Schultz, and Katherine Schlender; and brothers-in-law, LeRoy Schlender, Milton Schlender, James Schroeder, and Clarence Schultz.

The family would like to thank Park Ridge Caretaking staff, especially Lois Lorenz, and Marquardt Hospice for the loving care they provided Orville.
