On Friday, June 12th, 2020, Patrick M. Burns, aged 69, lost his fight to ALS. A man who lived a full life, surrounded by friends and loved ones, will be missed by many.

Pat was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 4th, 1950 to James and Bernice Burns. Upon the unfortunate passing of his mother, he was lovingly raised by Edna Burns. Pat served as military police officer (MP) in the United States Army. For many years, he was a member of the Teamsters, and of the local Elks Lodge.

Pat spent the last 36 years of his life married to Betty Burns. Together, not only did they create a family, they also built a successful business. Pat enjoyed spending time with family and friends, but especially loved spoiling his grandchildren. He was an avid Cardinals fan and enjoyed playing volleyball, softball and golf.

Pat is survived by his stepmother, Edna Burns; his children Trent (Ginny) Burns and Tamara (Stephen) Cole; his grandchildren, Patrick Burns, Logan Wilcox, Paige Wilcox, Hailey Cole, Chloe Cole, Kyle Burns, and Alec Fiala; and his siblings, sister Janet Brookmeyer; and brothers John Burns and Matt Street.

He was preceded in death by his mother Bernice Burns; his father James Burns; his son, Ryan Burns; his wife, Betty Burns and his siblings, brother Jim Burns; and his sisters Eleanor Reale, and Kathy Maxey.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, June 18th, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri, 63376.
