Elizabeth “Liz” Hardt, 81, of Odessa, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2020 in Hendersonville, TN.

Liz was born November 24, 1938 in Mitchell, TX and lived most of her adult life in Odessa. She married Oscar “Sonny” Hardt and the two were inseparable before Sonny’s passing in 1988. She worked as an office manager and bookkeeper until she retired. After retirement, she opened a bar called the Lonesome Dove, which became a popular place for her friends and family to gather.

Elizabeth is preceded in death by husband, Oscar “Sonny” Hardt and daughter, Pamela Hardt.

Liz is survived by son, James Hardt and wife, Wendy and their son, Tyler Hardt of Gallatin, TN; son, Larry Hardt and wife, Christina of Roy, UT, and their son, Stuart.

Graveside Services for Liz will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 14, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes for contributions in memory of Liz be made to the Dementia Society of America.

Arrangements are entrusted to Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
