Stanley is survived by: his wife, Beatrice Stanley, daughter Katherine Hale, sons, Mark and Todd Stanley, brother Loyd Stanley, grandchildren: Summer Marie Bauder, Catrina Figueroa , DeWayne Dick, Joshua Stanley, Jared Stanley, Jocelyn Stanley, Spencer Stanley, Matthew Stanley, Emma Stanley, Katie Elise Stanley 8 great grandchildren and numerous family members and friends..

When his nation called he answered by joining the National Guard. J R worked as an operator for Amoco Oil.

He had a passion for gardening and loved to grow orchids. A viewing will be held on Saturday Aug. from 11-1 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 4655 South Shore Blvd, League City, TX 77573.
