Bertha Marie (SweetPea) Burton, 75, of Greenfield passed away peacefully Wednesday August 12, 2020 surrounded by her loving family and friends.
SweetPea was born on January 18, 1945 to the late Rev. Joseph Richard Isaac and Louise Rose Morris.
In her adult years she moved to Chicago, Il where she met the love of her life Donald Lee Burton and together they created a life full of adventure. Later they moved to Jacksonville, Fl and enjoyed many years by the sea. In 1995 Don and SweetPea decided to make there final home not far from her birth place of Jackson, Tn and settled down in Greenfield, Tn. To be close to their children.
SweetPea had many hobbies that filled her life with joy. Among her many hobbies, the ones that she cherished the most were Gardening, Crocheting, and Working with her beloved church, 1st. United Pentecostal of Greenfield, Tn.
SweatPea was preceded in death by her beloved Husband, Donald Lee Burton, Their daughter Mary Jane Daniels, and 3 sisters Kathleen Isaac, Linda Zurek and most recently Brenda Jones.
She is survived by her three remaing children, Joyce Farrah of Port St. Lucy, Fl, Limuel Westley Daniels (J.D.) Daniels, and Jimmy and JoAnn Daniels of Greenfield, Tn . She also leaves behind two remaining Sisters, Kay Frost of Scott’s Hill, Tn and Joy Sikes of Henderson, Tn.
Service for Sweetpea will be held on Friday August 14, 2020 at 1st United Pentecostal Church of Greenfield, Tn. Service will begin at 11:00 am with a Public visitation to start at 10:00 until the hour of service.
She will be Interned along side her Husband and Daughter in Pleasant Grove Cemetery immediately following the service.
