Phyllis Wright, of Manito, passed away in Pekin on August 10, 2020 at the age of 82. Born June 01, 1938 in Pekin to Elmer and Edna Switzer Lee, she married Clifford Wright, Sr. on July 30, 1966. He preceded her in death on November 26, 2012.
Phyllis was a dedicated volunteer at the Pekin Salvation Army for over sixty years. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Phyllis Ann Wright; parents, siblings; Richard Pitner, John Lee, and Chuck Pitner; and one great grandson.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Clifford (Debra) Wright, Jr., Rosemary Roache, Juanita Webber, Louis (Alice) Nelson, Ty Lee Nelson, John (Lori) Nelson, and Donna Carter; 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; siblings, Mary Simpson, Clara Mibbs, and Jim Lee.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at 2:30 pm at the Pekin Salvation Army. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Cremation will be accorded following the services.
