Jimmy Pruitt, age77 of Jasper, Arkansas went to be with the Lord, August 11,2020 at his home.

Jim was born April 21, 1943 in Bay City, Texas.

He graduated high school from U.S. Grant High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State University with a degree in Environmental Control Technology.

Jim spent 35 years working for Johnson Controls in Wichita, Kansas in various sales and design roles. He enjoyed the challenges of these projects and took pride in his hard work.

He loved to garden with his wife, Norma. He enjoyed working with his hands which included wood working and gardening.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Forest and Helen "Frankie" Pruitt and his brother, Dave Pruitt.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Norma (Schlenker) Pruitt; his daughters Stephanie Overman and her husband Jason of Jasper and Denise Batsel and her husband Michael of Keller, Texas; and their 4 grandchildren Madison, Michael, Tabitha and Isaac.

He was a long-time member of the Church of God (Seventh Day) being baptized in 1983.

Pallbearers will be Michael Batsel III, Isaac Overman, Michael Batsel Jr., Jason Overman, Tim Youngs and David Fischer. Honorary pallbearers are Madison Batsel, Tabitha Overman, Vondal Fox and Mescal McCullough.

Graveside service will be 10:00 AM, Friday, August 14, 2020 at the Jasper Church of God (Seventh Day) Cemetery with Pastor Jason Overman officiating.
