Funeral services for Mr. Willie “Tunk” Slaughter, of Montrose, Georgia, will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020, at 11 AM at the graveside in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, 5021 Highway 112 in Allentown. Reverend Phillip Jones will deliver the eulogy.
Mr. Slaughter was born on May 30, 1953, in Laurens County, Georgia, to the parentage of the late Emanuel and Nancy L. Slaughter. He was educated in the Laurens County Public School System. Mr. Slaughter was preceded in death by three brothers, Emanuel Slaughter Jr., Edward Slaughter and Robert Slaughter; and by four sisters, Eddie Mae Beard, Lizzie Mae Young, Earnestine Slaughter, and Shirley Slaughter.
He leaves to cherish his memories three sisters, Rosie M. Sanders and Arnetta (Willie) White, Montrose, Georgia, Brenda (Brenda) Shackelford of Akron, Ohio; two brothers, Tommy L. (Blundalle) Slaughter of Dublin, Georgia, Kevin Allen of Akron, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
