He was born on September 25, 1951, in Illinois to Ellis Calvin Adams and Leota Bernice (Davis) Adams.
Roy is survived by a daughter, Heather (Adams) Siskind, and son-in-law, Jerry Siskind; his three grandchildren, Courtney Normandin, Drew Normandin, and Madeline Siskind; son, Burt Adams; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ben Adams, Art Adams, and John Adams; and two sisters, Jane (Adams) Smith and Florence (Adams) Alexander.
Roy served in the Navy. He was an auctioneer for 15 years and owned antiques/bargain shops including Main Street Bargains.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Saturday, August 15, 2020, at the Peoria Boat Club, 100 Spring St., Peoria, IL 61603. Instead of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Roy L. Adams Family to help with funeral costs.
