Joe Lee Carothers

Joe Lee Carothers, 77, of 309 Branner, a farming contractor, died in a Topeka hospital Tuesday.
He was born in St. Clair County*, Missouri, April 14, 1884.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. sarah Jane Yingling, 3926 N. Central; three sons, Jerome L. Carothers Jr., Route 9, Kenneth E. Carothers of Stockton, Calif., and Ronald Turnbull of Maple Hill; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Wall-Diffenderfer Chapel with burial in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
