Harold K. Pierce, age 74, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at 12:25 a.m. in his home surrounded by his family.
Harold was born, on January 5, 1946 in Mt. Carmel, IL, a son to Kenneth and Bernice (Macer) Pierce. In 1964, he married Betty in Albion, IL. In 1981, he married Diana in Rangeley, CO. Later in life, he began a relationship with his current wife, Lenda. Harold had owned, operated and retired from Sunland Custom Buggies, Phoenix, AZ. He was a member of Eagles Local 2957, Phoenix, AZ and volunteered for Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Harold enjoyed motorcycle racing, racing cars and dune buggies. He loved fishing and his dog, Hope.
Survivors include wife of 37 years, Lenda; a son, Kenny (Kelli) Pierce; four daughters, Kimberly (Danny), Dana (Jeff), Kenna (Jason) and Brianna (Keith); nineteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; two brothers, C. Pierce and R. (J.) Pierce; two sisters, Theda (Johnny) and Sandra; and his dog and best friend, Hope.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Mark Pierce; one brother, Carl Pierce; and two sisters, Mary Pierce and Debbie Pierce.
A memorial service will be held at New Hope Community Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.
Visitation will be at New Hope Community Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Due to health concerns related to the Covid-19 virus and by the signing of executive order by Governor J.B. Pritzker, Phase Four attendance will be limited to 50 people and social distancing will be enforced.
Memorial donations may be made to Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Phoenix, AZ.
