Mrs. Teresa Lee McCoy, 55, of Snow Camp, NC passed away on Thursday August 6, 2020 at UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill. A native of Forsyth Co. NC, she is the daughter of Kenneth Eugene McCoy, who survives and her late mother, Lee Best McCoy. She will forever be remembered for her willingness to always help others and putting others needs above her own. Her joy and love in life were her grandchildren. She was known for being a tough lady, always on the go never sitting still for too long. She had a special love for all animals as she so cherished her dogs. In addition to her father, she is survived by her loving daughter, Janet Coffey Langley; her two special grandchildren, Joscelin and Ethan Langley; her brothers, Keith McCoy and wife Jackie and Heath McCoy and wife Shelia; a special niece, Kasey Jenkins and husband Troy and many other loving nieces. nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Marvin Lawson Jr. and a brother, Kenneth Eugene McCoy Jr. There will be a family gathering on August 15, 2020 at 3:00 PM at the residence of her Uncle, Johnny Best. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Alamance County at 2213 Edgewood Ave, Burlington, NC 27215. McClure Funeral Service in Graham is assisting the family.
