Ms. Carey Brown, of Milledgeville, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Navicent Health Macon, Georgia.

Memorial services were held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 1:00 PM from the Victory Baptist Church, Milledgeville, Georgia.

Carey Serena Brown was born September 12, 1974 to the parentage of Loretta Brown and Louis Charlie Foster, Jr. Carey is the grand-daughter of the late Katie Cannon Brown, the late Benny Brown Jr. and the late Louis and Mildred Foster Sr. She was also preceeded in death by a brother, Keith Anderson.

On October 30, 2018, Carey rested from her labor; she fought a good fight and finished the course.

Carey was a 1993 graduate of Baldwin High School and was in the marching band. She also was a 1999 graduate of Georgia College & State University. Carey was employed as a staff member of the Drs. Bootlick Physicians Services, Oconee Reginal Hospital, and by the State Department of Corrections Prisons in Hancock County as an Officer and Counselor. Carey also enjoyed doing volunteer work. These were some of her proudest accomplishments. But the greatest of them all was when she answered the call to come to Jesus and He became her lord and savior. During the later part of 1993, Carey joined the Body of Christ at Flipper Chapel A.M.E. Church under the pastorage of Pastor Ayo Bandele. From that point on she sought after the kingdom of God. She faced her giants, but her love for God and her faith in Jesus continued to grow. In 2008 she became a kidney and pancreas transplant recipient. Carey became the loving mother of three boys; Blake, Isaiah, and Kerry. They were the loves of her life. She taught them about Jesus and how they should love each other like He loved them. Her story is a testament to her faith in God. In 2012 Carey joined the Victory Baptist Church family under the pastorage of Bro. Ken Walker.
