Ellen Cummings, age 81, of Findlay, died at 5;15pm on Friday, August 7, 2020 at the Toledo Hospital. She was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on December 31, 1938, to the late Randall and Elizabeth (Roesch) Cox. She married Dallas D. Cummings on August 10, 1958 and they were married almost 62 years. She is survived by a son: Peter (Cathy) Cummings of Lewisville, Texas; daughters: Terri (Hoyte) Wilhelm of Holland, Ohio and Barbara Sopher of Findlay; sister: Rosemary McDowell of Elkhart, Indiana; grandchildren Chase, Aubrey, Brittany, Bret, Megan, Courtney and Timothy; and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister: Suzanne Hendrix. Ellen had been the manager/owner of Stardust Records in Findlay. She and Dallas lived in Fairfield Glade, Tennessee for 29 years where they were members of the Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church. She enjoyed golfing, bridge, marjong, bowling, sitting on the patio with Dallas and enjoying her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Monday, August 10, 2020 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME in Findlay, and the family requests that due to Covid 19, that all visitors wear masks and maintain social distancing. The funeral service for the family will be private. Pastor Hoyte Wilhelm will officiate and interment will follow at Knollcrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to CDKL5, P.O. Box 926, Wadsworth, Ohio 44282.
