Amos Voyles is the son of John Bayliss Voyles born 1782 He died 1860 His wife was Mary E. Holleman born 1791 Anderson County, South Carolina and died 1865 Franklin County, Georgia. Their children are; William Voyles abt. 1815, Adaline Voyles (1818-), Nathan Voyles (1825-1889), Malissa Voyles (1829-), Amos Voyles (1850-after1864), Benson Benjamin Voyles (1839-1863), John Bailus Voyles, Sr. (1823-1863), and Mr. Franklin Voyles (1839-1863) died in Alabama in Civil War. Many of his son's have fought and died during the Civil War between the states. They all fought with the Southern Confederate Army. * His son Nathaniel "Nathan" was born 1825-1889 Cherokee County, Georgia a Civil War soldier.
