Mr. Walter Lee Baker, Jr., of Milledgeville, Georgia passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020 at Green Acres Nursing Home, Milledgeville, Georgia.

Graveside services were held on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 2:00 PM from the Gum Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia.

On Friday, July 17, 2020 our beloved Mr. Walter Lee Baker, Jr. said his silent goodbye to all of his family and friends. He has gained his wings for his work here has been done. Our beloved Walter Lee Baker, Jr. was born on January 4, 1959 o the late Rosie Lee Webb-Baker and the late Walter Lee Baker, Sr. He attended the public schools of Baldwin County, Georgia.

"Pookie" as he was affectionately known, later moved to Savannah, Georgia where he was employer Rodger Wood Sausage Company. Walter was a very caring, outspoken, and humble person. He was a friendly, loving and helpful to anyone that was in his presence. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends. His doors were always open to anyone who didn't have a place to call home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Mr. Laura Jean Baker.
