Michael Eugene Hayden, Jr. (Jeno), age 47, departed this life on August 7th, 2020 with his family surrounding him. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael E. Hayden, Sr., along with many other grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was a native of Eminence, Kentucky but resided in Shelbyville, Kentucky. Michael was born in 1973 to Michael Eugene Hayden Sr. (Deceased) and Margaret Ann Beaumont. He attended Eminence High School where he played Baseball, Football and ran Track, and Kentucky State University, where he ran track and was on the Football All-Star team. Michael was a great friend and mentor to many family members and friends. He was also known as the “Grill Master”. He always wanted to cook and watch everyone enjoy his food and would never give up his recipes! He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Eminence. He was raised in the church and was baptized at an early age. He served in his church, at one time joined the Men’s Chorus, Co-Chairperson of Men’s Day, instrumental in the Men’s Mission and cooking up his famous greens for meals after church. He was also studying to become a deacon at First Baptist. He also belonged to the Masonic Lodge, Elected Office-Senior Warden of South Gate Lodge No. 8-Prince Hall affiliated, free and accepted Masons of Kentucky.
