Teresa Ann Wischmeyer died peacefully Sunday, August 11 in Salina, Kansas with her family at her side. She was a devout Catholic and by exemplifying her faith she inspired others in their faith. Teresa was born October 2, 1950, the same birthday as her mom. Over the years she lived in Dallas, Texas, Weston Massachusetts, Desoto, Texas, and eventually Salina, Kansas where she lived the rest of her life. Teresa perfected her gardening skills in Salina, and her landscape designs on the Sharplaz Farm where she lived captured the imagination of many Salina residents. Teresa was called to serve others and spent many years as a nurse's aide caring for the elderly and infirm. Teresa was also a proud graduate of Ursuline Academy along with many of her sisters. Teresa was kind, outgoing and cared deeply for her family. She is preceded in death by her sister Cathy Newman and parents Rita and Hank Wischmeyer. She is survived by her son Travis and Lala Kee, their children Maili, Rachel, Naomi, and her first great grandson, Lucas; also her son Jason and Gayathri Kee, and their son Ram. She is also survived by her sisters and their families; Karen Wischmeyer, Susan Rooke, Betsy Munse, Gina Totah, and brothers Chip and Mark Wischmeyer. She will be forever missed by her family and friends. We are grateful for the kindness and loving care provided to Teresa by the staff of both Interim Healthcare (Hospice) and Holiday Resort Health and Rehab. A memorial donation in Teresa's name may be made to the Prodigal Father Foundation, PO BOX 181011, Dallas, TX 75218-8011.
