Home by the Revs. Vernon Blakey and Jessie Long. Burial
will be in Whited Cemetery. He died Monday at Ephraim
McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born Dec. 21, 1914, in
Casey County, he was the son of the late Henry and Lillie
Buck Allen. He was a farmer and a member of Pleasant
Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Media
Ashcraft Allen; a daughter, June Fair of Fairfield, Ohio; a son,
Marion Allen of Liberty; three sisters, Sophia Marple of
Liberty, Wadie Browning of Indianapolis, and Loshie Peck of
Anderson, Ind.; four brothers, Thad, Frank and Garnett Allen,
all of Liberty, and Kermit Allen of Hamilton, Ohio; two
grandchildren; three great-grand-children; and two greatgreat-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son,
Dewayne Allen. Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today and after 8 a.m.
