Billy "Bill" Cloyd Dennis, 86, a loving husband, father, grandpa, uncle, brother, and friend, passed away on August 7, 2020.
He was born on June 17, 1934 in Hot Springs, Arkansas where he grew up.
As an adult, he moved around a bit, living briefly in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana, but always came back to Arkansas. Bill was a huge Razorback fan.
He is preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Beverly; his brother, Ed Dennis; and his grandson, Michael Paxton Allen.
Bill loved listening to jazz music, and played trumpet in a jazz band when he was in college. He enjoyed playing the slot machines and bingo and pretty much whatever Bev wanted to do. He adored her. He loved visiting with people and never met a stranger.
Bill is survived by his children; Mark Dennis (Julie), Gaye Fulton (Dan), Robert Dennis (Belinda) and Beth Giuffre (Greg), and his stepchildren; Cindy Weatherford, Waymon “Kip” Hankins, Tammy Dixon, Renee’ Martin, Mike Allen (Kristin), and Melissa Bruce.
He has 6 grandchildren; Katie Dennis, Logan Dodd (Chelsea), Austin Dennis, Amanda Byland (Chris), Paul Swopes (Jacqueline) and Toby Swopes; and 2 great grandchildren, Walker Dodd and Audrey Swopes. AND 17 grandchildren on Bev's side: Kama Hulme (Jake), Latia Fear (Bradley), Taylor Elrod (Courtney), Chandler Martin, Aubree Allen, Mikayla Martin, Logan Allen, McKenzie Ragsdale, Gracyn Martin, Blaise Martin, John Thomas Allen, Andrea Collum, Katie Raymond, Jessica Hankins, Rhonda Bolin, Sallie Wrigley and Zachary Dixon; and 14 great grandchildren.
Bill and Bev had a special love for dogs, and always had at least one or two.
