BALLARD, WV – Beulah Taylor Miller, age 99, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, at the Springfield Center in Lindside, WV, surrounded by her family. Born July 6, 1920, in Big Stick, Raleigh County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Henderson and Mary Green Taylor. Beulah married Herman Miller, a local builder, in 1940. She loved the Lord, read her bible daily, and enjoyed watching John Hagee sermons. She was a member of the Orchard Christian Center and the Orchard Women’s Club. She loved flea markets, doing crafts and selling at the Dry Pond Community Center. Additionally, she loved cooking for family and guests. Even as she aged, she was always trying new recipes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman, in 2003. Also, as the last surviving member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Survivors include her loving nieces and nephews, many of whom spent the summers with her and Herman.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, Peterstown, WV, with Pastor Anthony Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Orchard Cemetery in Ballard, WV. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Monroe County Animal League (P.O. Box 343, Union, WV 24983).
