Matthew J. Abdilla "Moo", 16, son of Kevin Abdilla and Beth and Gary Battistini, has passed on to a better place.
Matthew was born in Galloway and attended Buena Regional High School as a junior and spent most of his life in Northfield. He loved basketball, riding his quad, the Pittsburgh Steelers and his three dogs.
He is survived by his parents; brothers, Ryan Abdilla and Dominick Battistini; and his sister Jacqueline Battistini; his grandparents, Jerome Abdilla, Audrey Graham of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Joseph and Pauline Battistini of Milmay.
He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Catherine Abdilla and Glenn Shample.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the Church of Saint Bernadette, 1421 New Road in Northfield, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon.
Entombment will then follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Mays Landing.
In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions in Matthew's name are respectfully requested to the Atlantic County Animal Shelter at 240 Old Turnpike, Pleasantville, NJ 08232.
