Karen Palmer, Jackson, MI, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital. She was the daughter of Art and Loretta Pearson, born January 28, 1939 in Muskegon, MI. She is survived by her husband, David, of 47 years of marriage, and their children Becky (Jim) Bortak, Susan (Steve) VanDuine, and Kathy (Doug) Bartlett; their eight grandchildren; and her sister Jeanette Hall and her brother Paul Pearson. She was preceded in death by her parents. Karen retired after twelve years of teaching at Northwest Community Schools and she was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mom, "mimi" to her grandchildren, and caring friend. According to her wishes cremation has taken place.
